The Express English Lever Pocket Watch
This is a handsome antique pocket watch by G.J. Graves of Sheffield, named “The Express English Lever”. The watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. The case is hallmarked with Chester hallmarks, indicating sterling silver quality, and is beautifully engraved. The movement is a lever escapement, typical of English-made pocket watches of this era.
Condition and Collectibility
The pocket watch shows signs of age and use, with some surface wear and patina consistent with its age. The case opens and closes correctly, and the crystal is present, though may show some wear. #### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
