Antique Queen Anne Style Demilune Table
This antique Queen Anne style demilune table is offered as a lot in its own right. Its half-moon form, with a straight back and a curved front, makes it well suited to a hall, landing or corner of a room where space is limited.
The table has a figured timber top with a moulded edge, set above a deep curved frieze. A carved decorative strip runs along the front of the frieze. The table is supported on three slender cabriole legs, each with a carved shell motif to the knee, rising to pad feet. The overall proportions and shell carving reflect the Queen Anne style, which is a recognised and enduring design in English furniture.
Condition and Collector Interest
