Three Antique Silver Mustard Pot Spoons
This lot comprises three antique silver mustard pot spoons, a small group of condiment spoons intended for use with a mustard pot. The three spoons weigh 6.2g in total. Two spoons have ball terminals at the ends of their handles, with slender stems leading to oval bowls. The third spoon has a flat, plain handle and a rounded bowl. The bowls are smooth and shallow in form.
Condition and Collectability
The spoons show surface wear consistent with their age, including some toning and light tarnish to the bowls and stems. One bowl displays a small area of discolouration. The spoons appear to retain their original form. Small-scale antique silver condiment spoons appeal to collectors of silver flatware and cruet sets, and they are an attractive grouping for those building a collection of antique silver table pieces.
