Introduction

This is a vintage rifle case, clearly marked for the Army & Navy Co-operative Society. Constructed from a robust leather exterior, this case would have originally been designed to protect a rifle during transport and storage. The case features a locking mechanism (key not present) and a carrying handle, suggesting it was intended for regular use. The interior is lined with a felt material, providing further protection for the firearm it once housed.

Condition

The rifle case exhibits signs of age and use, with wear and tear to the leather exterior and interior lining. The locking mechanism appears functional, though a key is absent. Despite its age, the case remains structurally sound and presents a fascinating piece of sporting history. Collectors of military surplus or antique firearms will find this case a desirable addition to their collections, offering a glimpse into the past.
