Art Deco Glass Bowl
This is a striking Art Deco footed bowl, part of the Oxford Suite designed by Sowerby. Crafted from green glass, it exhibits the geometric styling characteristic of the era. The bowl’s design features a stepped, fan-like pattern, creating a visually dynamic piece. This bowl is a fine example of early 20th-century glassmaking, showcasing Sowerby’s skill in producing elegant and decorative items.
Condition
This bowl presents well for its age, with some expected wear commensurate with use and display. There are no significant chips or cracks, though minor surface scratches may be present upon close inspection. The vibrant green colour remains strong, and the foot is stable. This piece would be a desirable addition to a collection of Art Deco glass or Sowerby pieces, offering a touch of vintage elegance to any home.
