Hallmarked Sterling Silver Art Deco Cigarette Case
This hallmarked sterling silver Art Deco cigarette case weighs 131g and is offered as a rectangular, hinged case with a flat lid. The lid is engine turned in a fine textured pattern and framed by a greek key border around its edges. A rectangular panel on the lid is engraved with the monogram WEW. The interior is gilt-toned and engraved with the date 10th May 1926, and the base bears hallmarks including a lion passant and an anchor. The geometric linework and stepped edges are characteristic of the Art Deco period.
