Art Glass Basket, Hand Painted Italian Bird Dish and Glass Leaf Dish Mixed Lot
This mixed lot offers a selection of decorative and collectable pieces, led by a blue art glass basket with a fluted, ruffled rim. Also included is a hand painted Italian bird dish, a clear glass leaf dish and a brass ladle. A brass toast rack is also shown with the group. Each piece has a distinct character, making the lot suitable for collectors of mid-century style glass, Italian ceramics and brass kitchenalia. The hand painted dish features a bird motif in a bright palette, while the glass leaf dish is formed with a leaf-shaped bowl and fine radiating veins. The brass ladle has an engraved pattern on its bowl.
Condition and Collector Appeal
Buyers are advised to examine the lot carefully and to make any enquiries before bidding, as no item in this lot is described as complete or in working order. The pieces are offered as seen, with originality and condition to be assessed by the buyer. Items of this kind often appeal to collectors of Italian ceramics, art glass and vintage brass, and to those furnishing a home with decorative tableware. The variety within the lot also makes it an appealing option for those building a small collection or looking for display pieces.
