Ashton Black Electro Acoustic Guitar
This lot is a black electro acoustic guitar by Ashton, offered as a single stringed instrument. It has a glossy black finish and a traditional body shape with a rounded lower bout, and it is presented on a blue plinth for viewing.
The guitar carries the Ashton name in script on the headstock, which is fitted with six tuning machines. The soundhole is ringed with a chequered marquetry-style inlay in tones of cream, green and amber. The neck is fitted with a fingerboard showing fret markers, and the bridge has a row of pins. The label inside the soundhole reads “Designed and Engineered in Australia” and gives the model number SPD25BK. The guitar is described as electro acoustic.
Condition and Collector Interest
The guitar shows general handling wear, including fine surface scratches and marks across the black gloss finish, most noticeable on the upper body and around the soundhole. The soundhole label is worn and slightly discoloured. Strings are fitted. The electrical functionality of this guitar has not been confirmed and it is offered as seen. Its interest lies mainly with buyers looking for an affordable black electro acoustic guitar, or those seeking a playable instrument for practice or a project.
