Bank of England Britannia Commemorative Dish
This circular silver dish was commissioned by the Bank of England to commemorate 300 years since its founding on July 27th, 1694. The dish is crafted in 95.8% sterling silver and features a central depiction of Britannia, a classic symbol of British identity. The design is embellished with a laurel wreath surrounding the central motif, and the dates ‘1694’ and ‘1994’ are prominently displayed. The dish weighs 60g and is a fine example of commemorative silverware.
Condition and Collectibility
This dish presents well, with a good level of detail remaining in the Britannia figure and laurel wreath. #### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
