Beatrix Potter Ribby the Cat Cloisonne Enamel Brooch by Fish
This is a cloisonne enamel and 22k gold plated brooch from the The World of Beatrix Potter range, made by Fish and depicting Ribby the Cat. The brooch shows the cat in a bonnet and a lilac apron, holding a basket of produce, with a pink and blue palette and a gold-coloured metal outline. The enamel is set within the metal framework in the traditional cloisonne manner, giving the figure its defined colour areas. It is presented in a cream card box with a green felt-lined interior, and the box is printed with the Fish logo and the “100 years of Peter Rabbit” marking.
Presented in Its Original Fish Box
The brooch is offered in its original cream card box, which carries “The World of Beatrix Potter” title and the “100 years of Peter Rabbit” marking, and the green felt lining is present. The box and brooch are offered together as a single lot. The item will appeal to collectors of Beatrix Potter merchandise and of Fish’s licensed character jewellery, particularly those seeking a boxed example from the series. Its link to the Peter Rabbit centenary makes it a sought-after piece for enthusiasts of the author’s work.
