Four Bedroom Lamp Shades in Cream and Pearlescent Finishes
This lot comprises four bedroom lamp shades, offered as a group. The shades are conical in form and presented in cream tones, with a lighter pearlescent finish on the lower example. The upper shade carries a pierced design of teardrop and floral motifs set in a band around its lower edge, while the lower shade is plain. Both shades show a neat binding along their rims. The maker and original retailer are not identifiable from the lot as presented, and no fittings are described.
Condition and Originality
The shades are offered as seen, and their working order has not been tested. The cream fabric shade appears clean, with its cut-out decoration intact and its rim trim evident. The lower shade shows a few minor marks to its surface, and its edges appear slightly worn in places. Lampshades of this style are often bought to refresh a bedroom or to replace a worn shade on an existing base, and this lot may appeal to buyers seeking a matching set or simple replacements. Prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect the lot in person before bidding.
