Introduction

This is a substantial bench vise, constructed from heavy cast metal. It features a wide jaw opening and a robust locking mechanism operated by a large screw handle. The vise is designed for securely holding workpieces during metalworking, machining, or general repair tasks. Its solid construction suggests it was intended for demanding use in a workshop or industrial setting.

Condition

This vise exhibits signs of prior use and wear, consistent with its age and likely history in a workshop environment. There is surface rust and grime present, and the moving parts may exhibit some stiffness. Despite this, the vise appears structurally sound and retains its original locking mechanism. It would likely appeal to collectors of vintage tools or those seeking a robust, heavy-duty vise for restoration or continued use.
