Black Metal Storage Box with Key
This 14-inch black metal box has a hinged lid and a sturdy, utilitarian form. A carry handle is fitted to one end, and a central latch with a dome-shaped handle secures the lid at the front. A paper tag hangs from the front on string. The box is offered with a key, as described in the lot details. No maker’s name or model number is evident.
Condition and Originality
The black paint shows general wear, with scuffs, fine scratches and marks across the lid and body. Faded handwritten lettering and pale adhesive tape residue are visible on the lid, and there is some surface wear around the latch area. These marks form part of the box’s character and show its history of use. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
