Antique Brass Cannon Collection
This lot comprises two decorative brass cannons, each mounted on a simulated carriage. Alongside these are a detailed letter opener with an ornate handle, a small brass bell, and a Chinese-style cinnabar red tripod vessel. The cannons exhibit a level of craftsmanship suggesting they were intended as display pieces or desk ornaments, rather than functional weaponry. The cinnabar vessel adds an Eastern aesthetic to the collection, offering a diverse range of styles and materials.
Condition and Collectibility
The items present signs consistent with age and display. The brass exhibits some patina and minor wear, while the cinnabar vessel may show slight imperfections typical of its material. This collection would appeal to collectors of miniature weaponry, brassware, or those interested in decorative objects with historical or cultural significance. The variety of pieces offers a unique opportunity to acquire a diverse and visually interesting assortment.
