British 1879 Artillery Sword Bayonet
This is a British 1879 Artillery Sword Bayonet designed for use with the Martini Henry carbine. It features a fullered blade, a wooden grip, and a simple crossguard. The bayonet is designed to fit the socket bayonet mount on the Martini Henry carbine, allowing it to be affixed to the muzzle for use in close combat.
Condition and Collectability
This bayonet shows signs of age and use, with some surface corrosion and wear to the blade and grip. It retains a good overall form and is a representative example of a British 1879 Artillery Sword Bayonet. This bayonet would be of interest to collectors of British military weaponry, particularly those specialising in Victorian-era equipment.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
