British Army Woodland DPM Bergen and Vintage Wooden Ammunition Crate
This lot comprises a British Army woodland DPM bergen rucksack together with a vintage wooden military ammunition crate. The rucksack is finished in woodland Disruptive Pattern Material camouflage, the pattern associated with British military issue, and has green webbing straps and a drawstring-style top closure. The crate is constructed from timber with a hinged lid, two wooden carrying battens, a central strap clasp and a metal carry handle to the front.
Condition, Originality and Collector Interest
The rucksack shows general signs of use, with the fabric appearing creased and the camouflage showing wear in places. The crate displays weathering to the timber, with surface marking and staining consistent with age and storage. The metal fittings appear to be present, though the working order of individual components has not been tested. #### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
