British Army Royal Engineers Officer Uniform

This lot comprises a complete British Army uniform belonging to Captain K.E. Baseley of the Royal Engineers. The uniform includes a tailored olive drab service dress jacket with rank insignia, medal ribbons, and shoulder boards. Accompanying the jacket are matching trousers, a Sam Browne belt, a peaked service cap, and a side hat. The jacket is labelled ‘Paterson & Hamilton of Paisley’ and the caps are labelled ‘H. Rogers & Son Ltd. Leicester’.

Condition and Collectibility

The uniform shows signs of wear consistent with its age and military use, but is generally in good condition for a vintage item. The uniform is a desirable piece for collectors of British military memorabilia, particularly those interested in the Royal Engineers. Documentation indicates Captain Baseley served in the Far East and his uniform offers a tangible connection to a specific officer and his service during and after the Second World War.

Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
