British Bayonet and Scabbard

This lot features two British bayonets, each accompanied by a scabbard and ceremonial frog. These bayonets appear to be of a standard military design, likely intended for use with service rifles. The bayonets exhibit typical construction with steel blades, wooden grips, and metal fittings. The frogs are designed to attach the bayonets to a soldier’s equipment for easy carrying.

Condition and Collectability

These bayonets show signs of age and use, with some surface wear and patina consistent with their vintage. The scabbards and frogs also exhibit wear, but appear structurally sound. These bayonets would be of interest to collectors of military memorabilia, particularly those focused on British military history. They could also be used for display or re-enactment purposes.
