Antique British Sea Service Flintlock Pistol
This is an antique British sea service flintlock pistol, marked with ‘W.R.’ indicating manufacture during the reign of William IV, and dated 1834. The pistol features a brass guard, a wooden stock, and a steel lock plate. Visible markings include a crown, a crow’s foot with ‘B’ and ‘O’, and other inspection marks, typical of British military firearms of the period. The pistol also retains its ramrod.
Condition and Collectibility
This pistol exhibits signs of age and use, with wear to the wood and metal surfaces. The lock mechanism appears to be intact, though its functionality is unknown. #### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
