Burago Gold Collection 1/18 Scale Volkswagen New Beetle 1998 Diecast Model

This Burago 1/18 scale diecast model represents the Volkswagen New Beetle 1998, presented in the brand’s Gold Collection range. The model is finished in red and is offered in its original printed box, which is labelled with the Burago name, the Volkswagen New Beetle 1998 designation and the catalogue number COD. 3342. The box also carries the Gold Collection branding, the 1/18 scale marking and the notation “Made in Italy”. The rounded silhouette of the New Beetle is reproduced in miniature, with a modelled grille, headlamps and alloy-effect wheels. The grey interior is visible through the glazing, and the open-door detail adds further interest to the piece.

Condition and Collector Appeal

The model is offered in its original Burago box, with the clear window panel and gold-toned packaging presented as seen. The box shows general signs of age and handling, and the window panel is clear. The model itself appears in a bright red finish with no obvious damage visible at the time of cataloguing. Original boxed diecast models from the Burago Gold Collection are of interest to collectors of Volkswagen replicas and of 1990s diecast models. The combination of the 1/18 scale, the period-specific New Beetle body and the retained packaging may appeal to buyers seeking a display piece.
