Capodimonte Porcelain Figurines
These are a charming pair of antique Capodimonte porcelain figurines, depicting a young shepherd and shepherdess. The figures are exquisitely detailed, showcasing the renowned craftsmanship of the Capodimonte pottery tradition. The boy carries a bundle of wood, while the girl delicately holds a basket of flowers, both rendered with vibrant colours and intricate textures. These figurines likely date from the mid-20th century, embodying the classic style of Italian decorative art.
Condition and Collectibility
The figurines exhibit signs of age and wear, consistent with their antique status. There are minor imperfections to the glaze and some slight wear to the painted details, but overall, they remain in good condition for their age. These pieces would be a delightful addition to any collection of Capodimonte porcelain or vintage figurines, appealing to collectors of Italian artistry and decorative objects.
