Caravan Jockey Wheel Assembly
This lot is a caravan or trailer jockey wheel assembly, comprising a single wheel with a ribbed rubber tyre and a grey plastic hub, mounted on a steel telescopic-style support tube. The upper end carries a folding handle or clamp lever, while the lower section terminates in a bolt-fixed foot, and the tube is fitted to a flat mounting plate with multiple bolt holes and a central locking bolt. The assembly is designed to support the front of a caravan or trailer when it is uncoupled from the towing vehicle and to allow it to be manoeuvred by hand. No maker’s name or model designation is visible on the assembly.
Condition and Collector Interest
The assembly shows general signs of age and use, including surface scuffing, light dirt and marks to the metalwork, and some rust-coloured staining to the steel tube and fittings. The rubber tread displays wear consistent with previous use. Originality appears to be intact, with the wheel, handle and mounting plate all present. Buyers seeking a replacement or spare jockey wheel for a caravan or trailer may find this lot of practical interest, particularly as a reference for matching the mounting plate and tube dimensions. Prospective bidders are advised to inspect the item in person before bidding.
