Carltonware Lustre Vases
These are two striking Carltonware vases, exhibiting the characteristic lustre glaze for which the pottery is renowned. The vases feature a beautiful, flowing form and a vibrant colour palette, typical of the Art Deco period. Carltonware was particularly popular in the interwar years, known for its innovative designs and high-quality craftsmanship. These vases would have been produced during the height of the company’s popularity, showcasing their mastery of ceramic decoration.
Condition and Collectibility
These vases present well, with expected wear commensurate with age. There are no significant chips or cracks, though some minor crazing to the glaze is visible upon close inspection. Carltonware lustre pieces are highly sought after by collectors of vintage pottery and Art Deco items. Their unique aesthetic and relative scarcity make them desirable additions to any collection, or a beautiful statement piece for a vintage-inspired interior.
