Carved Cabriole Leg Occasional Table, Lot 608
This lot is a carved occasional table of rectangular form, offered as Lot 608. The table is styled in the manner of Chippendale or Queen Anne furniture and is presented on four cabriole legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet. The top has a scalloped edge and a carved foliate border surrounding a plain central panel. Each leg is shaped to a curved profile, with a carved leaf detail to the knee. The piece has a mid-brown finish and no maker’s mark or brand is visible.
Condition and Collector Interest
The table shows surface marking and general wear consistent with use, most noticeably across the central panel of the top. The carved border and leg detailing remain clearly defined. A Lot 608 tag is attached to the top.
