Reproduction Carved Oak Side Cabinet
This reproduction carved oak side cabinet is a two-tier storage piece with a plank-style top and an upper and lower section, each fitted with cupboard doors. The upper pair of doors are carved with interlinked scroll motifs set within moulded panels. The lower pair of doors are plainer, with flat panels framed by raised moulding. Decorative strap-style hinge plates run down the sides of the carcase, and the cabinet stands on short bracket feet. Its traditional, country-style design would suit a dining room, hallway or living room where additional closed storage is required.
Condition and Collector Interest
The cabinet shows surface wear and marks consistent with use, most noticeable across the top. As a reproduction, it is not presented as an antique, but its carved detailing, panelled doors and solid oak construction give it a traditional appeal. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
