Introduction

These are a pair of striking bookends carved from wood, depicting the heads of tribal women. The carvings exhibit a strong aesthetic influence from African tribal art, with stylized features and intricate detailing. The wood appears to be a darker tone, adding to the authenticity and visual appeal of the pieces. These bookends are designed to provide support for books while also serving as decorative objects, adding a touch of ethnic flair to any bookshelf or display.

Condition

These bookends show signs of age and wear, consistent with vintage items. There may be minor imperfections in the wood, such as small cracks or blemishes, which contribute to their character and authenticity. These pieces are likely hand-carved, making each one unique. Collectors and buyers interested in ethnic art, tribal artifacts, or vintage home decor will find these bookends to be a captivating addition to their collections.
