Antique Chestnut Roasting Spoon
This is a beautifully crafted antique chestnut roasting spoon, likely dating from the Victorian era. Constructed from solid brass, the spoon features a distinctive, pierced, fan-shaped bowl designed to hold chestnuts over an open fire. The long handle provides a safe distance from the heat, and the overall design suggests a practical yet decorative item for hearth cooking.
Condition and Collectibility
This spoon shows signs of age and use, with a lovely patina developed over time. While it may exhibit some wear consistent with its age, it remains a charming example of antique kitchenalia. Collectors of vintage cooking utensils, brassware, or items related to hearth cooking will find this spoon a desirable addition to their collections.
