Child’s Wicker Chair with Curved Back
This child’s wicker chair is a small woven seat with a rounded, tub-style back and upholstery-free open weave throughout. It is offered as a single lot suited to a nursery, playroom or child’s bedroom.
The chair is constructed from woven wicker in a warm, mid-brown tone. The high, curved back rises from a wide seat and sweeps down into shaped side arms that flare outwards at the front. A decorative diamond-pattern detail is worked into the upper centre of the back, and the lower frame is finished with a band of open lattice weaving above short, turned feet.
Condition and Collector Interest
The wicker shows general wear and surface marking consistent with age and use, with some areas of the weave appearing rubbed and lighter in colour. Small areas of loosening and wear are visible on the seat and along the lower edge of the frame. The chair retains its original woven form and detailing, and no later restoration is evident. Its shape and woven construction may appeal to collectors of children’s furniture and to buyers looking for a characterful piece to restore or display.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
