A Carved Resin Panel Depicting an Elephant Procession
This rectangular relief panel shows a procession of elephants moving through a stylised forest, with a larger adult leading a younger animal past tall trunks and leafy canopies. It is presented in a fitted case lined with cream satin and finished with a red ribbon, which suggests it was made as a decorative or commemorative piece.
Condition, Originality and Collector Interest
The panel shows no obvious chips, cracks or losses to the carved surface, and the detail of the animals and foliage remains sharp. The satin lining of the case is clean, with some light handling wear to the green velvet exterior, consistent with age and storage. The piece will appeal to collectors of Chinese carved decorative art and to buyers seeking a distinctive elephant motif for a study, hallway or display cabinet.
