British Army Cap Badges Collection
This lot comprises a collection of British Army cap badges, likely dating from the World War II era. The badges showcase a variety of regimental designs, each meticulously crafted from brass or similar metal alloys. These insignia were affixed to the peaked caps or berets of soldiers, serving as symbols of their unit affiliation and pride. The collection offers a glimpse into the structure and traditions of the British Army during a pivotal period in history.
Condition and Collectibility
The badges exhibit varying degrees of wear and patina, consistent with their age and likely field use. While some badges may display minor damage or loss of finish, this adds to their authenticity and character. Collectors will appreciate the opportunity to acquire a diverse selection of original badges, representing different regiments and branches of the British Army. This lot is ideal for display, research, or as an addition to an existing military collection.
