A Copper and Brass Banded Log Bin Bucket
This large copper and brass banded log bin bucket is a traditional fireside storage vessel, well suited to a hearth, log store or period-style interior. It features a rounded copper body with two brass bands set around the middle and lower sections, each secured with a row of brass rivet heads. A substantial arched brass swing handle is fixed to the rim with brass hardware, allowing the bucket to be carried with ease when filled. The warm, reddish tones of the copper contrast attractively with the paler brass, giving the piece a classic, handcrafted character.
Condition and Collectability
The bucket shows the expected signs of age and use, including light surface marks and a gentle patina to the copper, which is consistent with a piece that has been handled over time. The bands and rivets appear firmly in place, and the handle is secure in the photographs. Please note that the item is offered as seen, and buyers are encouraged to view the lot in person or request further images before bidding. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
