Boxed Vintage Corgi Constructor Set GS/24
This lot is a boxed vintage Corgi Constructor Set, catalogued as GS/24 and presented in its original Corgi Toys No.24 box. The set is built around the Commer 3/4 Ton Chassis, a model range designed to let young enthusiasts assemble different vehicles from a common set of parts.
The box lid describes the contents as two Commer 3/4 ton car and chassis units with spring suspension, seats and steering wheel, along with four interchangeable bodies: a milk float with crates and milkman, a pick-up with bench seat, a van and an ambulance. The lid also notes that eight different combinations of chassis and body are possible. The set is presented in a card box with a polystyrene insert, and the lid artwork illustrates the various vehicle configurations, including the milk float, ambulance and pick-up.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The box shows general age-related wear, including marks and softening to the card, and the lid is visible with its printed artwork and Corgi branding. The polystyrene insert holds the set’s components in their designated compartments, and the vehicles and parts visible within the tray include the ambulance body, red and yellow bodies, a light blue crate section and two chassis units with cabs. The lot is offered as found, and the buyer should satisfy themselves as to its contents. Its original box and insert, along with the Constructor Set presentation, may appeal to collectors of mid-century British diecast toys and those interested in the Corgi Toys range.
