Vintage Corgi Whizzwheels T.S. 9B Team Surtees Racing Car, Boxed
This lot is a vintage Corgi Toys Whizzwheels model of the Team Surtees T.S. 9B racing car, presented in its original box and listed as catalogue number 153. The model is finished in the Italian livery, with red and white bodywork, green detailing and race number 26 displayed on the nose and side. Sponsor lettering for Pagnossin appears on the nose. The model has an open cockpit, exposed wheels with large rear tyres, and a raised engine cover, in the style of the Formula One cars of the period.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The model is displayed in its original Corgi Toys box, which carries the Whizzwheels branding and the ‘Tested by the Corgi Technocrats’ label. The box shows general signs of age, including some wear to its edges and corners, and the clear window panel is in place. This boxed example will appeal to collectors of Corgi Whizzwheels and vintage British diecast, particularly those with an interest in 1970s racing cars and the Team Surtees marque.
