Cream Painted Four Drawer Chest of Drawers
This cream painted four drawer chest of drawers is offered in a traditional bedroom storage style. The carcase is finished in a soft cream paint with gold-toned edging, and the chest rises from a plinth base to a moulded top with a softly rounded front edge. Each of the four graduated drawers has a recessed panel with a crackle-effect finish and is fitted with a pair of round ceramic knobs. The chest stands on turned bun feet, giving it a compact, country-house character suited to a bedroom, hallway or dressing area.
Good Overall Presentation with Crackle Finish Detailing
The chest presents well, with the painted finish appearing largely even across the top, sides and drawer fronts. The crackle effect on the drawer fronts is a feature of the decorative finish rather than a fault, and the ceramic knobs add to the piece’s period-inspired appeal. Buyers should inspect the drawers, runners and feet in person, as the lot is offered as seen and no further description of its working order is given. Painted chests of this type often appeal to buyers seeking a versatile, shabby chic or cottage-style piece that works well with a range of colour schemes.
