Collection of Cut and Assemble Paper Model Buildings

This lot brings together a selection of vintage cut and assemble paper model books and toy theatre sheets, offering a range of architectural and scenic subjects for the enthusiast. Highlights include Victorian Houses by Edmund V. Gillon Jr., presenting four full-colour buildings in H-O scale, and Our Village Shop, devised and painted by Faith Jaques, with memories of a village shop by Jean Sawyer. Also included are A Medieval Castle by A.G. Smith, a Gypsy Caravan cut-out model, and two copies of Tudor Cottage and Garden from the Make a Model series. The toy theatre material comprises Pollock’s The Victoria sheets, with Cinderella scenery and text, alongside Mr Jackson’s Pantomime Theatre, which is designed to be assembled without glue or cutting, and a Schreiber-Bogen Theaterkrippe. The collection is completed by The Book of Moving Pictures by Demi and a Medieval Tournament model book.

Condition and Collector Appeal

Condition varies across the lot, and as these are printed paper items, buyers should expect the usual signs of age and handling on covers and sheets, with some creasing and wear to the edges. Items have not been checked for missing pieces, and the sheets are offered as they are. The mix of publications, toy theatre sheets and pop-up style items makes this an appealing group for collectors of vintage craft ephemera, paper model kits and Pollock’s toy theatre material. It would also suit model railway and dolls’ house enthusiasts looking for reference material or for a project to restore and display.
