Dennison Sovereign Case

This is a Dennison white metal sovereign case, designed to house and protect a sovereign coin, likely for use with a pocket watch. The case features a hinged opening and a secure closure, and is crafted with a decorative, fluted design. These cases were popular during the Victorian and Edwardian eras, offering a practical and stylish way to carry valuable coins.

Condition and Collectibility

The case shows signs of age and use, with some surface wear and patina consistent with its age. It appears to be structurally sound, though a detailed inspection would be recommended. This sovereign case would be of interest to collectors of antique watch accessories, numismatists, or those interested in Victorian-era ephemera.
