Three Vintage Dinky Toys Captain Scarlet Vehicles

This lot comprises three Dinky Toys models from the Captain Scarlet range, the 105 Maximum Security Vehicle, the 104 Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle and the 103 Spectrum Patrol Car. Made in England by Meccano Ltd under licence from Century 21 Toys Ltd, the models reflect the futuristic styling of Gerry Anderson’s television series. The 105 Maximum Security Vehicle is finished in red with white sides and a long cabin with glazed panels. The 104 Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle is a pale blue model with a tan rear turbine, a raised roof mounted antenna and a red sliding door, while the 103 Spectrum Patrol Car has a white body with red trim, a central fin and a red sliding canopy. Each model carries the Dinky Toys and Spectrum branding on its baseplate, along with the model number.

Good Visible Wear and Strong Originality

Visible wear is consistent with age and handling. The 104 Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle shows paint loss and light surface marks along its body and tracks, while the 103 Spectrum Patrol Car and 105 Maximum Security Vehicle show chipping and minor edge wear to their paintwork. The underside markings and screws appear to be original, and the baseplates remain legible. Each model retains the distinctive character of its era, with no obvious repainting visible in the photographs. This group will appeal to Captain Scarlet fans, Gerry Anderson collectors and those building a run of 1960s Dinky Toys, where early examples in this condition are sought after for display or study. Buyers should review the images carefully and consider the wear when bidding.
