Box of Picture Frames and Two Donkey Oil Paintings
This lot comprises a box of assorted picture frames together with two framed oil paintings of donkeys. The paintings are the focal pieces of the lot. One shows a dark donkey and a foal resting on a green ground, set in a pale cream and gold-toned moulded frame. The other is a study of a grey donkey’s head above a stable door, housed in an ornate gilt frame with a cream inner mount. The box contains a variety of frames in wood, black, pink and gilt finishes, including photo frames, a set of multi-aperture frames with oval and rectangular openings, and a cream ornate frame. The lot is unbranded and no makers’ marks are evident on the frames.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The frames display a range of finishes and ages, and some show signs of general handling. Individual condition varies, and no guarantee is given regarding the condition or originality of any item. Prospective buyers are encouraged to view the lot in person before bidding. The two donkey paintings offer appeal to collectors of equine and rural subjects, while the mixed frames provide a useful source of stock for crafters, restorers, or those looking to reframe their own artwork.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that once a bid is placed we will not be able to issue any refunds unless there is a clear and obvious error made by ourselves in the item title, in the event of an incorrect bid being placed, you must contact us on the mobile phone number 07904 339160/description.
Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
