Two Dutch Delft Blue Windmill Ornaments
This lot comprises two Dutch Delft blue windmill ornaments, each modelled in the traditional blue and white style associated with the Netherlands. The left-hand example is a tall windmill with a tapering body, lightly decorated floral panels and a pair of sails set in a blue lattice finish. The right-hand example is a smaller windmill set on a rectangular plinth, accompanied by a pair of traditional Dutch clogs (klompen) and a figure in folk costume. Both pieces show the hand-painted detailing, glazed finish and cobalt blue decoration typical of Delftware-inspired souvenir ceramics. Neither piece carries a clearly legible maker’s mark in the photograph, so they are offered as unbranded.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The photograph shows both pieces with a clean glaze and no obvious chips or cracks visible at this angle, though a detailed examination in person has not been carried out and the lot is offered as seen. Buyers should inspect the sails, plinths and any fine detail before bidding. Pieces of this kind appeal to collectors of Dutch souvenirs, Delftware-style ceramics and decorative windmill models, and the matching pair with contrasting designs makes an attractive display for a shelf, sideboard or cabinet.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos.
