A Fine Watercolour of the River Thames
This is a charming watercolour painting depicting a scene on the River Thames near Goring, created by E b lorit in 1884. The artwork showcases a tranquil river landscape with a figure in a boat, capturing the essence of the English countryside. The delicate brushwork and subtle colour palette evoke a sense of peace and nostalgia, typical of late 19th-century British landscape painting.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The watercolour appears to be in good condition for its age, with expected minor signs of wear consistent with a piece from 1884. The painting is presented in a period frame, which complements the artwork. This piece would be of interest to collectors of British landscape art, particularly those focusing on scenes of the River Thames, or works by lesser-known artists from the Victorian era.
