Elkington & Co Silver Plate Cutlery Set
This is a substantial silver plate cutlery set manufactured by Elkington & Co Ltd. The set features bone handles, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the design. The cutlery appears to be a traditional dining pattern, suitable for formal occasions or everyday use. The quality of the silver plate and the craftsmanship of the handles suggest a well-made and durable set.
Condition and Collectibility
The cutlery set presents signs consistent with age and use, including some surface wear and possible discolouration to the silver plate. The bone handles may exhibit minor cracks or chips, commensurate with their age. Despite these imperfections, the set remains a desirable item for collectors of vintage silverware or those seeking a charming addition to their dining table. The Elkington & Co mark adds to its collectibility and historical significance.
