Rare Elvis Presley “Marie’s the Name” Acetate Disc
This is an incredibly rare RCA Victor Reference Recording acetate disc featuring an early recording of Elvis Presley performing “Marie’s the Name” and “His Latest Flame”. These discs were created by RCA Victor for internal review and testing purposes, making them exceedingly scarce and highly sought after by collectors. The label clearly indicates it’s a reference recording, and the handwritten details add to its unique provenance.
Condition and Collectibility
The acetate disc shows signs of wear consistent with its age and use as a test pressing. While there are surface marks and imperfections, the disc remains intact and presents a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of Elvis history. Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. #### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
