England and Union Jack Political Badges
This lot comprises a collection of badges and stickers relating to England and British identity, with a strong focus on opposition to the Euro currency. The items feature designs incorporating the England flag, the Union Jack, and the slogan “Keep the Pound”. These appear to be from a campaign era, likely the late 1990s/early 2000s, when debate around the UK adopting the Euro was prominent. The collection includes both pin-back badges and adhesive stickers, offering a variety of display options.
Condition and Collectibility
The badges and stickers show signs of age and handling, consistent with their likely use in a political campaign. Some edges may exhibit minor wear, and colours may have faded slightly. However, this adds to their authenticity and historical interest. These items would appeal to collectors of political memorabilia, British ephemera, or those interested in the history of the UK’s relationship with the Euro.
