Female Stone Garden Statue
Lot 1112 is a female stone garden statue depicting a standing woman with her hair gathered into a top bun. She leans slightly forward, with one arm raised behind her head and her other hand holding a length of drapery at the waist. The figure is set upon a square plinth base. The statue has a simple, traditional garden sculpture style, with softly modelled features and flowing folds of fabric. Dried ivy leaves are draped across the figure, adding to its garden setting.
Condition and Collectability
The statue shows the surface wear expected of an outdoor piece. There is lichen growth and grey-green staining across the figure, and moss has collected around the base. Dried ivy remains draped over the body and arm. No cracks, chips or repairs are described in this entry, and buyers are invited to inspect the piece in person before bidding. Garden figures of this type appeal to collectors of traditional garden ornament and to buyers looking for an established, weathered finish for a period or cottage-style garden.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
