Four Volumes of Flora of the British Isles Illustrations
This lot comprises four vintage volumes of Flora of the British Isles Illustrations, published by Cambridge University Press and credited to Clapham, Tutin and Warburg. The volumes are presented as a group of four and cover the range of British flora from Pteridophyta to Papilionaceae (Volume I), Rosaceae to Polemoniaceae (Volume II), Boraginaceae to Compositae (Volume III), and Monocotyledons (Volume IV). Each volume is marked as drawn by Sybil J. Roles.
Condition and Collector Appeal
The four volumes are hardback and appear to retain their green cover jackets, with the title, series and volume numerals clearly printed on each. Any further wear, marking or internal condition should be confirmed by prospective buyers, as detailed inspection is not possible from the available images. Botanical reference works of this type, with the illustrations credited to a named artist, are of interest to botanists, plant enthusiasts, natural history collectors and those building a sequence of Cambridge University Press titles.

Items are sold on a “sold as seen” basis, electrical items etc are untested unless stated otherwise in the title of the items in question. We have a viewing day on Saturday 10am-3pm if you are unsure about an item from photos. Please be aware that as we are now VAT registered the buyers commission is now 17.5% plus VAT.
#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
