Fowler’s Twelve Ten Circular Calculator
This is a Fowler’s Twelve Ten circular calculator, a fascinating piece of mechanical engineering. The calculator features a rotating dial with various scales for performing calculations, housed within a robust metal casing. It is accompanied by its original leather pouch, which shows signs of age and use, adding to its character. This type of calculator was commonly used by engineers, surveyors, and other professionals who needed to perform complex calculations in the field.
Condition and Collectibility
The calculator exhibits wear consistent with age and use, including surface scratches and minor imperfections to the dial and casing. The leather pouch shows creasing and wear, but remains structurally sound. This calculator would be a desirable addition to a collection of antique scientific instruments, slide rules, or mechanical calculators, appealing to those interested in the history of calculation and engineering.
