Antique French Cartridge Making Kit
This is a fascinating antique French cartridge making kit, likely dating from the 19th or early 20th century. The kit is contained within a robust wooden case, lined with velvet, and contains a variety of tools and components for hand-loading ammunition. The kit appears to be geared towards smaller calibre cartridges, and the tools show signs of skilled craftsmanship, suggesting a high-quality set for a dedicated gunsmith or enthusiast.
Condition and Collectability
The kit presents with signs consistent with age and use, with some patina and wear to the tools and case. While the kit is not tested for functionality, it is a desirable item for collectors of antique gunsmithing tools or those interested in the history of ammunition production. The completeness of the kit, combined with its original presentation case, adds to its appeal and potential value.
