French Yatagan Bayonet
This is a French Yatagan bayonet, likely dating to around 1860. The bayonet features a distinctive Yatagan blade, characterised by its curved, single-edged form. The hilt is constructed of steel with brass accents, and includes a muzzle ring for attachment to a rifle. A maker’s mark, appearing as a ‘74’ is visible on the spine of the blade near the hilt.
Condition and Collectibility
This bayonet shows signs of age and use, with patina and some surface wear consistent with its age. The blade retains a good shape, and the hilt is intact. This bayonet would be of interest to collectors of military antiques, French weaponry, or bayonets, offering a tangible piece of 19th-century military history.

#### As of 1/10/2021 we will be implementing a 7 day collection rule – items must be collected within 7 days unless an agreement is arranged in the event of instances such as being away on holiday, medical reasons etc. Any lots that are not collected within 7 days will be liable to a storage charge of £1.20 per day.
