Vintage GEC Electrical Torsion Gauge

This is a vintage GEC Electrical torsion gauge, model 442982. The gauge features a circular scale marked in degrees, with a needle indicator. It is housed within a brass casing and accompanied by its original packaging, bearing the branding “EVERYTHING G.E.C. ELECTRICAL”. This instrument would have been used for measuring torsional forces in electrical components or systems, likely during testing or calibration processes.

Condition and Collectability

The gauge shows signs of age and use, with some wear to the brass casing and packaging. The scale is still legible, and the needle appears to move freely, though functionality is not assessed. This piece would be of interest to collectors of vintage electrical test equipment, those interested in the history of electrical engineering, or those seeking unique industrial design pieces.
