George IV Sixpence Coins

These are two sterling silver sixpence coins dating back to 1826, during the reign of King George IV. The coins feature the laureate head of George IV on the obverse, with the inscription “GEORGIUS DEI GRATIA,” and a crowned rose on the reverse. These coins were a standard denomination in British currency during the early 19th century and represent a piece of British history.

Condition and Collectibility

The coins show signs of age and circulation, with some wear and toning consistent with their age. Despite this, they remain largely intact and display the key features of the design. These coins are of interest to collectors of British coinage, particularly those specializing in the reign of George IV, and offer a tangible link to the past.
